Okay, so we going to give you the skinny on Lohan’s new blonde hair color that took over 10 hours to do. According to our industry sources her dark brunette colored hair was stripped, and re-colored. Ouch!!! Can we say maybe her hair is not touchable? Probably not, but this is definitely not what you woman want to be doing to your own hair. Why you ask? Read on to understand the process.

Lohan’s previously dark colored hair was first stripped using a color remover (AKA bleach). Because her color was so dark the bleached hair tones are brassy, and the hair shaft is left feeling similar to a pot scrubber. Next, the toning which adds another chemical process further roughens the hair shaft. Although industry sources say they did use a non-ammonia based product to tone her hair; it is still a chemical, and really not the right one in this salon’s opinion. It also explains why her new blonde hair color still looks so gold-yellow. Poor thing. Don’t get us wrong we love doing dramatic hair color changes for women; however, in reality most women do not have that type of disposable funding let alone the correct hair integrity, and Lohan’s hair integrity isn’t looking that great.
